These days there is an educational app for almost anything, be it numbers, languages, feelings, reading, or social skills, you name it! But are they really educational? Can young kids learn from a screen? And how do you know which apps are good and which ones are not that good? In this masterclass, Dr Jeanne Shinskey gives you all the information you need to make informed choices when choosing apps for your child. This masterclass is of interest to parents of babies and toddlers.

About the expert

Dr Jeanne Shinskey is a Senior Lecturer at Royal Holloway University and Director of the Royal Holloway Baby Lab. She is a developmental psychologist and examines how babies learn, especially from picture books and educational apps. Her work has been published in scientific journals as well as in the popular press.
